Service Manager
Job description
The Service Manager leads the team of service writers. They are in charge of the front counter and are responsible for addressing problems and making decisions when the Store Manager isn’t available.
The duties of a Service Manager are:
- Supervise Service Writers
- Aid technicians in the repair/diagnostic process, as needed
- Share Service Writer responsibilities, such as:
- Scheduling appointments and organizing scheduling
- Collecting and sharing information with the general service and automotive technicians
- Maintaining communication with customers throughout the repair/diagnostic process
- Resolving customer complaints
- Tracking stock and inventory levels
- Organizing parts ordered
