Air Conditioning
There are many components that make a vehicle's air conditioning system work. Many times these components are overlooked, until there is a lack of cold air coming out of the vents.
Components we can diagnose and replace:
- Compressor
- Expansion Valve
- Condenser
- Control Module
- High Pressure Switch
- Evaporator
- A/C Hoses
- Cooling Fan
- Climate Control Module
- Low Pressure Switch
The HomeTowne Difference:
- Check the belts and hoses
- Hook up gauges to check high and
low pressures - Up to date, accurate Freon
measurements during recharging
- We Use ultraviolet dye to help
detect leaks - Environmentally friendly Freon
recovery system
No one wants to be stuck without AC in the east coast heat and humidity. To stay cool make sure you properly care for your SUV's A/C system.
Your car's air conditioning system removes heat and moisture from inside and transfers it to the outside air. Often it is hard to detect a problem until the system fails.
The A/C system is resistant to leaks but not leak proof. With time, contamination and leaks can affect performance of the system. The most common cause of poor cooling is when refrigerant leaks out through O-rings, loose fittings and connections.
Large cars or SUVs with front and rear AC systems can be more susceptible to problems due to the longer lines needed to carry Freon to the back of the vehicle.
If refrigerant is leaking or you hear a rattling sound (a sign that the compressor is going bad) you may not want to wait to get it looked at. With todays vehicles being controlled by computers we have the latest diagnostic software to fix whatever problem you may have.
